Many thanks to Jonathan, following our chance meeting at Tissington. I was able to call in at Ashbourne and have a play on the rebuilt organ. Very impressive! The console reminded me of the 1934 H N & B two manual organ I used to play at St. Saviour's, Weston-super-Mare, with its cancel bars above each department. I hope the dedication goes well. I see from the church magazine that Paul Hale is giving the opening recital in October. Perhaps he was Consultant for the job?
